Synopsis

Niino Ryosuke, a promising runner with future potential, is deliberately tripped by his rival just before the finish line of a collegiate relay race. Injured from this incident, Niino retires and spends three years living an apathetic life while working part-time at a convenience store.

One day, he catches a shoplifting girl named Kokomi who brazenly demands, “Let me stay at your place” and invites herself in. Carefree and bright, Kokomi loves dancing but harbors a deep-seated grudge that drives her towards revenge. When Niino tries to probe her background, she turns the tables and asks if he’s ever harbored resentment. Upon hearing about his injury, Kokomi urges him to seek revenge against his rival, who has now risen to become an Olympic candidate. Meanwhile, Kokomi remains withdrawn about her own motivations. As Niino follows her, he discovers she lives with other runaway girls in a public square and is increasingly involved in dangerous “overdosing” by consuming excessive over-the-counter cold medications…
