Synopsis

Aoko is a pottery painter who was born and raised in Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture, a town renowned for its ceramic production. Aoko enjoys her peaceful daily life and takes pride in her work, but everything changes when Tatsuki, a solitary ceramic artist from Finland, arrives in town. When he bluntly declares that his pottery has no need for painted decoration, Aoko feels as though not only her craft but also her hometown and fellow artisans have been dismissed. Yet as she witnesses the striking beauty and artistry of the vessels he creates, she gradually finds herself drawn to him.
 
The drama was filmed primarily on location in the real town of Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture.
Set against the area’s lush natural scenery and deeply rooted craftsmanship culture, the story portrays two socially awkward individuals who slowly open their hearts to one another.
