Synopsis

A story of intertwining fates begins when Hayashida Anone (played by Tanaka Yuko) discovers a mysterious stash of ten-thousand-yen bills under the floor of her home’s defunct printing factory while searching for her dropped wedding ring.

Tsujisawa Harika (played by Hirose Suzu), nicknamed “Hazure” (The Failure), is a homeless girl who works as a cleaning staff and lives in internet cafes with her peers Miku (played by Kitamura Yui) and Arisa (played by Usui Reina). Her simple joy comes from chatting with “Kamino” (played by Shimizu Hiroya) through a mobile game. Her favorite story to share with Kamino, who claims to be hospitalized long-term, is about her fairy tale-like memories of living with her grandmother in a treehouse in the town of “Tsuge” from ages 8 to 12.

When Arisa reveals she spotted a bag full of money abandoned on a beach, the girls set out for the town of “Tsuge” – the same town from Harika’s cherished childhood memories.

Meanwhile, Mochimoto Kaji (played by Abe Sadao), a curry shop owner given six months to live, decides to end his life. As he’s about to close his shop, he meets a mysterious yet brazen customer, Aoba Ruiko (played by Kobayashi Satomi). The two bond and end up searching for a place to die together, eventually reaching the town of “Tsuge.”
