Synopsis

In 1912, Hiramatsu Chokichi, second son of a poor Japanese farmer, decides to try his luck and sets sail to make his fortune in America. While he has the determination and will to work, the winds of his new country are blowing strongly against him and his new family. Still, change will come, if only slowly for these new Japanese Americans…
