Synopsis

From NHK’s newly launched “Screenwriting Development Team” WDR Project in 2022 comes the Saturday drama “3000-man” (30 Million). It tells the story of people who, seeking just a bit of happiness, find themselves sinking deeper into a quagmire… Will the steps ahead lead them to heaven or hell?

A crime suspense drama that, despite its dark twists, brings a smile and resonates as if it’s your own story. It vividly captures the struggles and atmosphere of today, creating a stylish, passionate, and deeply immersive experience.

Sasaki Yuuko (Adachi Yumi), a temporary employee at a call center, struggles with her home loan and the education costs for her son, who has a natural talent for piano. Although she tries to be frugal, her husband Yoshimitsu (Aoki Munetaka), a former musician with little income, remains optimistic, saying, “We’ll manage somehow.” This family encounters an accident and is presented with a tempting offer—but lurking behind it is a dangerous, cunning figure. Their ordinary life takes a dramatic turn into the extraordinary, filled with twists and suspense. A thrilling story unfolds, where even five minutes ahead is impossible to predict!
