Synopsis

“217-en no E” is a drama adaptation of the grand prize–winning work from the first NTV Screenwriter Contest, a scenario competition held by Nippon TV for the first time in 18 years.

The story follows the relationship between a stubborn middle-aged self-proclaimed painter and a high-school student who secretly aspires to enter an art university. At the same time, it explores a profound question faced by modern society: “What is the true value of things?”
