Synopsis

Ryosuke, who runs a café, sees his ordinary life suddenly collapse one day. His father, who raised him single-handedly, receives a terminal diagnosis with little time remaining, and Chie, whom he was planning to marry, mysteriously disappears without a trace. Unable to accept these devastating events just as he was about to start a new family, Ryosuke discovers a notebook hidden in his family home’s closet. The notebook, titled “Yurigokoro,” contains the handwritten memoir of a woman calling herself Misako. The shocking confession reveals a woman who can only connect with the living world through the act of killing others.

Eventually, Misako encounters Yosuke in what seems like a fateful meeting, and for the first time, experiences the emotion of love, something previously unknown to her. However, this newfound feeling becomes merely the beginning of an even greater tragedy. As Ryosuke delves deeper into Misako’s life story while grappling with his despair, he gradually becomes convinced that this narrative cannot be mere fiction. Questions plague him about who wrote this memoir and for what purpose, and why he finds himself so irresistibly drawn to these disturbing confessions.

As if waiting for the perfect moment, Hosoya, who claims to be Chie’s former colleague, appears before Ryosuke carrying a message from the missing Chie. This psychological thriller explores themes of love, obsession, and the thin line between reality and fiction as Ryosuke’s investigation into the mysterious notebook begins to intertwine with his own life in unexpected and dangerous ways.
