The “Kasouken no Onna” (Woman of the Forensics Lab) series centers on forensic researcher Sakaki Mariko (Sawaguchi Yasuko) at the Kyoto Prefectural Police Science Investigation Research Institute (commonly known as Kasouken), depicting how she and her uniquely quirky fellow researchers use their specialized expertise in forensics, physics, chemistry, and document examination as weapons to uncover the truth behind criminal cases.

 

The biggest highlight of this season is the shocking new regular cast member! Making her debut as Mariko’s strongest enemy in “Kasouken no Onna” history is Ochiai Sakiko, a female detective who has transferred to the Organized Crime Countermeasures Division (commonly known as Sotai).
