Synopsis

It’s 1986 in Nagasaki where Hisada Takaki (Banka Ichiro), a fifth grader with a penchant for Kinkeshi and Saito Yuki, lives with his younger brother and quarreling parents. In his class is Takemoto Kenji (Harada Konosuke), a child from a poor family avoided by his classmates—but not all, as Takaki is determined to see dolphins at Boomerang Island, and Kenji is down for the adventure. It’s a quest for camaraderie, but as in life, their friendship will not be without grief.
