Synopsis

Matsukata Hiroko is a super busy magazine editor. Like any other woman at the age of twenty-eight, she enjoys going on dates, fashion, and her private life. But when she switches into working mode, she dedicates absolutely everything to her work. Because of this, her colleagues refer to her as “Hataraki Man” (working man). However, her success at work does not always give her the satisfaction she wants, and she constantly questions herself “What am I working for?” and “Why do people work?”

These are the kind of questions viewers can certainly relate to as the characters of this drama search for the answer through different types of working people, who each explore their own answers as to the questions: a sense of accomplishment, fulfillment, mission, obligation, happiness, or…?
