Synopsis

Akiko, who quit her job as a piano instructor and has been drifting aimlessly through life, is suddenly summoned on New Year’s Eve by her older sister, Haruko. Bringing along her reclusive younger brother, Akiko learns that their father’s death is imminent.
 
Facing the possibility that their father’s mistress may claim his inheritance, Haruko proposes that the siblings fight to protect the family estate. Although Akiko is reluctant at first, the situation gradually pulls her in. As events unfold, she begins to discover unexpected and hidden sides of both her sister and her brother that she never knew before.
