Synopsis

Fujiwara Saori (played by Ito Sari) sits alone, gazing forlornly at fireworks, when Hikaru Genji (played by Chiba Yudai) unexpectedly returns to her life. From that moment, their intense and intricate cohabitation begins anew.

Saori had already prepared to move to a new residence, hoping to forget her memories. To her surprise, Hikaru’s return leads to an even more intimate living arrangement in a smaller one-room apartment, forcing the couple into proximity.

Their circle of friends – Chūjō (Kiriyama Ren), Cain (Kamio Fuju), and Shiori (Iriyama Anna) – warmly welcome Hikaru’s return. They cheerfully assist with the move, watching the couple’s relationship with fond anticipation.

However, complications arise when Ichijo, a colleague with romantic intentions towards Saori, enters the picture. Tensions begin to simmer between Hikaru and Saori, threatening their delicate reconciliation.

Adding to the intrigue, a mysterious woman named “Murasaki” appears as a lecturer at a waka poetry class frequented by Abe Kacho (Kote Shinya). Saori becomes increasingly anxious, suspecting this elegant instructor might be Hikaru’s wife, Murasaki no Ue.
