Synopsis

At the end of 2016, Takako begins her newlywed life with her husband Masao in an apartment near the Fuji Family residence. Meanwhile, Hideo welcomes his young wife, Aiko, and their eldest daughter, Hikari, is born. The Fuji Family household changes as Kasumi has already departed, and a new live-in part-time worker, Purio—a science-minded young man—joins the group.

 

On the other hand, the ghost Nasumi appears once again before the ever-present Grandmother Emiko, confessing her desire to graduate from being a ghost and be reborn into a new life. Nasumi establishes the phrase “Give me ohagi” as a secret code to identify her future reincarnation before disappearing. However, this simple phrase becomes a catalyst that begins to transform the hearts and feelings of all the people surrounding the Fuji Family.
