Synopsis

Umezawa Rika (Harada Tomoyo) works as a part-time employee at Wakaba Bank. As she visits customers and willingly helps with household chores, she gradually earns tremendous trust from elderly clients living alone. Two years later, Rika had embezzled 100 million yen from her customers and fled overseas. What exactly happened to Rika that led to this shocking transformation? Her high school friends, Okazaki Yuko (Mizuno Maki) and Nakajo Aki (Nishida Naomi) find themselves forced to confront their own inner darkness as they trace the events surrounding Rika’s crime. The investigation into their friend’s betrayal becomes a journey of self-discovery that reveals uncomfortable truths about trust, desperation, and the hidden struggles that can drive ordinary people to extraordinary acts of deception.
