Synopsis

Leading actress Fukada Kyoko plays the protagonist Iwasaki Urara, who once gave up on continuing as a lawyer after fleeing from court in the past, injuring both her client and herself.

Meanwhile, Terajima Shinobu plays Ebisawa Rinka, a lawyer whose skills and abilities are exceptionally outstanding but who was expelled from the bar association for using gray-area methods.

The cast also includes Mizobata Junpei as judicial trainee Takiguchi Taisuke, Yoshizawa Hisashi as Kudo Seiji, a junior lawyer at the major law firm where Rinka used to work, Kato Masaya as elite lawyer and Rinka’s ex-boyfriend Katsuragi Yuji, Takenaka Naoto as Kodama Yoshikatsu, Rinka’s former boss, Matsushige Yutaka as Chono Kaoru, the owner of Rinka’s regular bar who is gay, and Kamikawa Takaya as Tadamori Fujijiro, a lawyer at the firm where Rinka hopes to make her comeback.

Many of the clients depicted in this drama are women. The partnership between Urara and Rinka showcases their respective strengths as “allies of women.” These are women who have lost their place in life, struggling to grasp happiness while facing “changes in age” and “changes in circumstances.”

Urara has her lawyer’s license but cannot stand in court alone due to past trauma, while Rinka is extremely capable but has lost her license and also cannot stand in court alone. The 31-year-old Urara and the 41-year-old Rinka, both at crossroads in their lives, together make one complete lawyer. Can these two women, as lawyers and as women, seize happiness for their clients and themselves? A new, authentic drama that will make women feel touched and moved is born!
