Synopsis

Takahashi Ren and Sonoda Aoi, both born in 1989, grow up in Hokkaido and experience first love when they meet at age 13. However, Aoi leaves Hokkaido with her mother. Eight years later, 21-year-old Ren travels to Tokyo for a friend’s wedding where he reunites with Aoi. By then, their lives have diverged—Ren becoming a cheese artisan in Hokkaido while Aoi expands her world between Tokyo and Okinawa.
Another decade passes, bringing them to the final year of the Heisei era, when destiny’s thread brings them together once more.
