Synopsis

The legendary comedy-mystery series “Statute of Limitations Police” returns after 12 years! Odagiri Joe returns as Kiriyama Shuichiro, who comes back to Japan after a 12-year stint at the FBI to resume his “hobby” of investigating cases past their statute of limitations.

Although the statute of limitations for murder cases was abolished in 2010, numerous cases before that date remain unresolved. Kiriyama, now back at the Statute Management Division, pursues these cases purely as a hobby, presenting perpetrators with his signature “I Won’t Tell Anyone Card” after solving their crimes.

The series reunites Odagiri Joe with Aso Kumiko, who returns as his “assistant” Mikazuki Shizuka. Directed by Miki Satoshi along with a team of unique creators, this new season promises to deliver the same surreal, pop-culture-filled, and relaxed mystery atmosphere that made the original series a hit.
