Synopsis

Kogure Yaeko faces a devastating double blow when her engagement is broken off just before her planned retirement from work, leaving her without both career and marriage prospects. On this particularly difficult day, she happens to hear a live performance of “Air on the G String,” which inspires her to enroll in an adult violin class. What she initially expects to be an elegant hobby turns out to be much more complex, as the class attracts people dealing with various complicated issues in love, work, and family relationships that prove as challenging to navigate as learning the violin itself.
