Synopsis

After graduating from a regional university medical school and moving to Tokyo, resident doctor Amano begins training in the surgery department of a metropolitan general hospital. What awaits him are days filled with being unable to do anything, understanding nothing, and constantly being scolded by senior doctors and supervisors. However, patients continue to arrive without pause. Despite being called a doctor, residents still lack knowledge and experience – they are not yet anything at all. Faced with injured patients and sometimes those who cannot be saved, Amano is overwhelmed by the reality of his powerlessness, struggles with inner conflict, and sheds tears countless times. Yet he never loses his strong passion and dedication to the medical profession, growing alongside his fellow resident doctors.
