Synopsis

Nishijima Hidetoshi portrays Natsume Soichiro, who serves as the mansion’s attendant wearing an apron, but was a brilliant detective in the Metropolitan Police Department’s Investigation Division 1 until two years ago. Nishijima, who enjoys popularity across all generations regardless of gender and maintains a constant presence in dramas and films with his distinctive personality, brings this complex character to life. The cast also features Kohinata Fumiyo as Takahira Atsuhiko, a former administrative officer who now serves as the mansion’s manager; Noguchi Goro as Todo Masato, an intellectual gentleman and former forensic scientist whose trademark white coat reflects his scholarly background; Kadono Takuzo as Sakota Tamotsu, a former local police detective whose wife filed for divorce immediately upon his retirement; and Kondo Masaomi as Date Aritsugu, the mansion’s landlord characterized by his white hair and warm smile. This gathering represents a luxurious assembly of veteran actors who command significant presence in Japan’s entertainment industry.

 

Even in retirement, these gentlemen continue to battle presbyopia, back pain, and various chronic conditions while never forgetting their active duty days. Hiyori’s visit reignites their investigative spirit, prompting them to intervene in criminal cases. Having finally achieved her dream assignment to the detective division, Hiyori desperately wants to uncover the truth, while Natsume, the only one among the “gentlemen” initially reluctant to participate in investigations despite his history of solving numerous difficult cases as a detective, reluctantly teams up with her to begin their investigation.
