A man’s brutally murdered corpse wrapped in a plastic sheet is found on the banks of a pond in Motosui Park, Katsushika Ward. When the pond was swept away, more corpses wrapped in similar plastic sheets were found. The victims attended a secret meeting on the second Sunday of every month, and they had something in common that they had been strangely animated recently. The members of the Himekawa Squad began to investigate the mysterious word “Strawberry Night” that the victim had uttered, but during the investigation, Detective Otsuka was found shot dead in an abandoned building.

Yuda, who was waiting for Himekawa and the others to arrive at the pub, is alone with Imaizumi in the tatami room. The two of them couldn’t hide their embarrassment about the situation they were confronted with, but when Ishikura arrived, everyone started gossiping about the relationship between Himekawa and Kikuta. As the banquet progresses, Ioka bursts in from the next room, Kikuta tries to find out about his relationship with Himekawa, but leaves to meet her when she gets lost, and Hashizume suddenly arrives to preach to young people. While being swung around, everyone passed out.

Reiko Himekawa investigates a homicide involving the murder of a gang member. The police suspect the murder came about from gang disputes, but evidence is lacking and the case is deadlocked. A phone call arrives and the caller claims Kento Yanai is the murderer. A superior officer informs Reiko not to investigate Kento Yanai. Reiko becomes suspicious and investigates the man on her own. She then meets high ranking gang member Isao Makita. They investigate the case together and become attracted to each other.

Nikaido Fumi stars as Himekawa Reiko, a 27-year-old non-career track detective who has risen to become the youngest female detective sergeant in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigation Division. Kamenashi Kazuya plays Kikuta Kazuo, Himekawa’s older subordinate – a straightforward, taciturn detective who gradually develops special feelings for her after witnessing her excellence as an investigator.

Eguchi Yosuke plays Katsumata Kensaku, Himekawa’s nemesis and fellow detective sergeant nicknamed “Gantetsu.” A veteran detective with an unmatched arrest record and eight years of Public Security experience, his unorthodox investigation methods often invite suspicion.
