Ryosangata Riko

Komukai Riko (Yoda Yuki) is a plain Jane with a plain personality, appearance, hobbies, and values. Riko works at an event planning company and is a part of Department 3, known as the slow-moving department. One day, a co-worker talks about “mass production people” (people who look, dress, and act the same) and Riko begins to question what this means. As she’s walking through town, she stumbles upon a plastic model store and “Zaku,” a character from the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam,” catches her eye, mainly because it said “mass production type.” Riko then challenges herself to make her first plastic model with help from the shop owner. She slowly sees the charm of building plastic models which is the catalyst to make her question herself.

Unlike the previous story, although the cast are returning, this new season is set in an entirely new universe, with Riko this time portraying the president of a start-up company called Dream Crazy.

Komukai Riko has always been a bright, active person since she was a young child. With her affable personality, she has lots of friends, and is always in the top average of her class. Based on an idea surrounding food sharing, alongside fellow classmates Takagi Shinji and Asai Yuki, they launch the start-up company “Dream Crazy” alongside a start-up company support project called “Dog Run.” Under the support of “Dog Run,” she struggles to develop “NOKORUNA,” the unsold food sharing service, and while trying to come up with an original idea, she establishes “Yajima Model Store.” Together with “Dream Crazy” she aims to grow into “Yajima Model Store” into a unicorn company.

Similar to last season, various real plastic models will appear in each episode produced with the cooperation of BANDAI SPIRITS production.

The third and final chapter in this series follows Komukai Riko as a 25 year-old temporary worker in Tokyo. The second daughter of the Komukai family, she grew up to be an average child, sandwiched between her responsible older sister and her free-spirited younger sister.
Following their grandfather’s passing, the three sisters gathered, marking the first time in four years that the entire Komukai family had come together.
While sorting through their grandfather’s belongings, Riko stumbled upon an unfinished plastic model kit. Guided by memories of her grandfather visiting “Yajima Model Shop” during his lifetime, she decides to try her hand at building a model kit for the first time.

Through building the plastic model kit, Riko felt like she had gained a little insight into her grandfather and her family.
She decides to stay at her parents’ home for the summer until she feels she has resolved her grandfather’s lingering regrets.

The “Ryosangata Riko” drama series returns with a brand-new instalment set in a fresh “mass-produced world.” This time, the story unfolds in a high school plastic model club.

Takamine Ruka and Seto Ruka are childhood friends attending their local high school. Because they’re inseparable, everyone calls them Rukaruka.

Now third-year students with no club affiliations, their daily routine of simply going to school and heading home is suddenly called into question after a comment made by a friend. This moment sparks a change, leading them to join the nearly disbanded Plastic Model Club.

Before long, they find themselves captivated by the mysterious charm of plastic models.
