Synopsis

Araragi Shoko is a 29-year-old taxi driver who exclusively works the late-night shift. She’s not particularly talkative, nor does she go out of her way to be attentive — yet for some reason, passengers who ride in her taxi find themselves later reminiscing about the scenery of that night. A couple heading to a high-rise tower apartment. Two women searching for somewhere to put their true feelings. A mother and her son, on their way to see a father for the first time in 40 years. Shoko never pries into her passengers’ lives; she simply watches them in the rearview mirror, offering just a quiet moment of warmth. Before long, Shoko herself begins approaching the milestone of turning 30, and starts searching for something of her own.
