Okome no Onna

The Materials Investigation Division of the Tokyo National Tax Agency uncovers billions of yen in hidden income per investigator annually. This formidable department strikes fear into tax evaders as the last line of defense in tax investigations, earning the nickname “Kome” by removing the rice radical from the character 料.
This drama centers on a newly established fictional department within Kome called the Complex Tax Case Processing Office, commonly known as “Zakkoku.”
 
Yoneda Seiko, the protagonist played by Matsushima Nanako, establishes Zakkoku to handle difficult cases that other departments struggle to tackle. She assembles a team of uniquely skilled investigators to bring down unscrupulous tax evaders.

The spin-off series to Okome no Onna delves deeper into the private sides of the “Zakkoku” members that could not be fully portrayed in the main story.
