Synopsis

The narrative unfolds against the backdrop of the Teito Rapid Transit Authority (Eidan) Hibiya Line train derailment and collision accident that occurred near Nakameguro Station in March 2000.

One victim of the accident was Tomihisa Shinsuke, a young man who attended a prestigious preparatory school while pursuing his passion for boxing. A girl who rode the same commuter train had developed quiet feelings for him, though she never knew his name. On that fateful morning, the accident occurred. Shinsuke, who happened to board a train at an unusual time that day, was caught up in the tragedy. He died at just 17 years old, his brief life coming to an end.
When she saw the tragic news report, the girl learned his name for the first time. Hoping desperately that it was a mistake, she continued searching for him on the train day after day. Twenty years later, a message arrived from an unknown woman at Ohashi Boxing Gym, where Shinsuke had trained. It was addressed to the gym’s president, Ohashi Hideyuki. The sender was that same girl who had harbored feelings for him all those years ago.
