Synopsis

Based on a manga by Kamimura Naho, Zakken is short for Zassou Kenkyu-bu, or “Weed Research Club,” an actual student club that exists at Tokyo Metropolitan Hibiya High School. The story is a slice-of-life coming-of-age story that depicts freshman Yukari, a self-proclaimed “misfit” who cannot find anything she is passionate about. When she meets weed-loving classmate Mimi (also known as Dokudami-chan), the two throw themselves into reviving the effectively dormant “Weeds Research Club.”
