Synopsis

Based on the novel by Naoshima Sho, Ando Kiyoharu (Matsuyama Kenichi) is a seventh-year judge who has just been transferred from Tokyo to the Maebashi District Court’s First Division.
On the surface, he appears to be a calm and composed judge but deep down, he harbors a secret he can never reveal. As a child, Ando was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) due to his impulsivity and restlessness. Since then, he has hidden his condition and lived his life pretending to be “normal.” Yet despite his efforts, his occasional words and actions leave the staff of the Maebashi District Court bewildered, causing confusion and unexpected commotion both inside and outside the courtroom.

A complex case soon lands on Ando Kiyoharu’s desk – one involving a young man who attacked the mayor, a student who left his friend in a coma, and a daughter claiming, “My father was killed by the law.” Guided by his unique “fixations,” Ando exposes hidden contradictions in the case while battling his own inner impulses in the pursuit of truth and justice.
