Synopsis

The story is set in a share house where four older women, whose combined age equals 272 years, live freely together. The protagonist, Hayami Shota (Jyo Kairi), is a kind-hearted and easily swayed young man struggling in his job hunt, with no clear vision for his future. His girlfriend, Hayashi Mika (Hata Mei), is growing increasingly exasperated, but a turning point soon arrives for the two of them.
By a twist of fate, Hayami Shota (Jo) lands a job as the handyman at a share house where three lively 68-year-old women live together. Sharing a home with these women, who have experienced all the ups and downs of life, proves to be incredibly fun. Both Shota and Mika are deeply moved by the delicious home-cooked meals and the invaluable “grandmother’s wisdom” they receive. When Tsuneko, a woman with mild dementia joins the household, chaos ensues – but so does a deeper bond among everyone.

However, the elderly women also face a mountain of challenges. Together, Shota, Mika and Utako (Takeshita Keiko) join forces to tackle issues such as re-employment, late-life romance, staying healthy, and even the threat of eviction, meeting each obstacle with optimism and determination.
