Synopsis

Mitsuya Ryoji (18), a mathematical prodigy, enters Kyomei University’s Mathematics Department as a specially recommended student. There, he meets fellow math enthusiasts Kumazawa Yuichi (18) and Saito Sana (18). The three build a friendship while taking on challenging mathematical proofs, united by their shared passion. For Ryoji, who had felt isolated due to his genius since childhood and struggled to connect with others, this becomes the first time he can share the joy of mathematics with peers.

However, Ryoji’s overwhelming talent begins to have unexpected effects on those around him, triggering complex emotional waves.Kumazawa, truggling to overcome his jealousy of Ryoji, decides to pursue a different mathematical theory, while Saito explores paths beyond mathematics. Unable to accept their fragmenting relationship, Ryoji throws himself into solving the famous unsolved “Collatz Conjecture,” clinging to mathematics as his only refuge.
