Synopsis

It is the 1970s. Tsuboi Norimasa, who runs a small town factory and his wife Yoko had a daughter, Yoshimi, who was born with a heart condition and told that she only had ten years to live from a very young age. Faced with the harsh reality that no medical institution could cure her, Norimasa resolved to create an artificial heart for his daughter. Developing medical equipment from scratch with no knowledge or experience was nearly impossible, but Norimasa and Yoko were driven by their desire to save their daughter’s life. They studied tirelessly, bowed their heads to experts, secured funding, and devoted years to development. However, Yoshimi’s life was rapidly approaching its limit…
