Synopsis

“Born to be loved, living to love.”
The Mashiba family, a seven-member household, lives in a mountain town where nature still thrives. The family includes their affectionate father, Tetsuo (Takenaka Naoto), a warm-hearted taxi driver; the responsible eldest daughter, Michiru (Ayase Haruka); the determined eldest son, Go (Ichihara Hayato), who dives headfirst into whatever he sets his mind to; their easygoing elementary schooler second son, Horo (Kamiki Ryunosuke); their playful youngest daughter, Uta (Matsumoto Rina), who always follows her older brother; the gentle mother, Yumi (Harada Mieko), who watches over the family; and the supportive grandfather, Meiji (Sugiura Naoki).

One day, Yumi collapses and has to be hospitalized. While their mother is in the hospital, Michiru steps up to take over the household chores, and Go takes on part-time jobs after school, determined to earn money for the hospital bills. But then, unexpectedly, Yumi returns home. While the children are overjoyed, Tetsuo’s expression changes, and he hurriedly drags Yumi back to the hospital. The children, suddenly filled with anxiety about their mother’s condition, start to worry…
