Synopsis

Obayashi Kenji, whose wife and daughter went missing in the Great East Japan Earthquake, became a taxi driver in the hopes of seeing them again, but after 13 years, he never has. One night, a high school girl named Rira hums a familiar tune in his taxi — a song his wife and daughter often played before the disaster. Determined to learn more, Kenji tracks down Rira, who agrees to tell him the song’s name if he drives her to a distant music café. There, Kenji is moved by Rira’s performance but shocked by the song’s origin. Together, they seek out old musicians to revive the piece.
