Why Do You Love Japanese Films?

“Why do you love Japanese films?”

Japanese cinema make up about 75% of my film watches. I can’t state a specific reason, but I love them the way they are. They felt very original & unique. They make the best films in my fave genres (slice of life, mystery/detective etc.) for me!

Titles (Japanese films) :

• Be with You / いま、会いにゆきます (2004)
• Love Letter (1995)
• The Crimes That Bind (2018)
• Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning (2021)

Not to mention the idyllic Japanese countryside and islands. I could watch a whole film even if it’s just travelling through the countryside.

Those atmosphere, mountains, rural train journeys.. aah, HEAVEN! 💖

Everything I said above applies for Japanese television series as well, except that J-Drama makes up about 95% of my series watches! 😇
