Synopsis

“Tales of the Bizarre” is an anthology drama series in which storyteller Tamori takes viewers into “strange worlds.”
The lineup for this episode includes four new short “stories”.
“Itai wa Ittai…” begins when veteran detective Sakuraba Takao, played by Kamikawa Takaya, arrives at a detached house that has become the scene of a mysterious incident.
As Sakuraba steps inside, he discovers the bodies of a man and a woman lying in a second-floor bedroom. After leaving the room, he continues his investigation in the garden, only to realize that he has forgotten his gloves. When he returns to the bedroom to retrieve them, he is met with a shocking sight: the woman’s body, which had been there only moments earlier, has vanished without a trace.

In “Jikka Jimai,” Natsume Saya (Shuri) returns to her childhood home to clear out her late mother’s belongings. But when discarded items mysteriously reappear and her mother’s friend Matsuno Satomi begins acting increasingly obsessed, Saya finds herself drawn into a disturbing mystery tied to her mother’s lingering influence and the secrets surrounding the family home.

Story 3 is “Oji-san ni Naritai,” which follows Koharu, an elementary school girl who dreams of becoming an old man as soon as possible. Possessing a mysterious costume that allows her to transform into a remarkably lifelike old man, Koharu witnesses her father doting on his daughters while treating his own mother coldly. After seeing this troubling behavior, she makes a life-changing decision.

The fourth story is “Mother’s Auction” starring Sugino Yosuke. This work tells the bizarre story of a NEET (someone not in employment, education, or training) who discovers that his mother has put herself up for auction on an online auction site.
