Synopsis

Suzuki Gen, a brilliant scientist, makes a groundbreaking discovery in cloning technology. However, due to ethical issues, he is kicked out of his university laboratory. Seven years later, Suzuki is now a doctor in the countryside, and he learns that the body of Tashiro Megumi, whom he has been searching for, has been found.

 

Megumi has a six-year-old son, Shinji, and a younger sister, Natsumi, who hadn’t heard from Megumi for nearly 10 years. Natsumi initially takes Shinji in, but due to financial reasons, ends up entrusting him to Suzuki, who claims to be Shinji’s father.

 

Meanwhile, Megumi’s death is believed to be a homicide, and Detective Kuroiwa begins to take an interest in Suzuki and Shinji…
