Synopsis

Kunieda Takahiko (Nakai Kiichi) lives alone with his daughter Miki (Haru). After his wife Yoshimi (Okunuki Kaoru) passed away, he raised his daughter single-handedly. A change comes over his daughter when she says, “There’s someone I want you to meet.”… She has a man she wants to introduce. However, for a certain reason, Takahiko cannot bring himself to meet this person and confides his feelings to his friend Shibayama Yoshiro (Danta Yasunori). The man in question is Makoto (Mitsushima Shinnosuke), the son of former apartment neighbors Furuichi Toshiyuki (Mitsuishi Ken) and Keiko (Kimura Midoriko), who is also Miki’s childhood friend. But the biggest problem is that Keiko appears to be a troublemaker. Takahiko, who was unaware of this fact until they moved away, becomes anxious, wondering if there was also conflict between Yoshimi and Keiko. How should he tell his daughter about this? While agonizing over this dilemma, Takahiko unexpectedly reunites with his college girlfriend Kataoka Ayano (Harada Mieko). As they talk, an unexpected connection between Ayano and Keiko is revealed… What truth does the father, who worries, struggles, and runs around for his daughter’s new beginning, ultimately reach?
