Synopsis

Okuda Takako, a representative of “Smile Baby,” a non-profit organization that rescues women with unexpected pregnancies and their babies and facilitates special adoptions, rescued a 9-month pregnant Sakamoto Madoka. However, despite Takako’s efforts to protect Madoka, she ends up under the control of Nonogaki Shun, an internet pimp who claims to offer 150,000 yen per month until the birth of the child if the mother gives the baby up for adoption using his service.

Madoka becomes concerned about Nonogaki’s money-centered and dishonest attitude and asks to cancel her registration, but she has nowhere to go when she is pressured to return double the amount of money if she cancels. Concerned about Madoka’s sudden disappearance, Takako desperately searches for her. Takako goes to Nonogaki and tries to get Madoka’s baby back, but…

Meanwhile, Takako’s adopted daughter Megumi, now a high school student, strongly desires to know who she was born from and where she came from. She tries to ask her adoptive mother, Takako, about her birth mother, whom she has never been able to tell her.
