Synopsis

Yoshimura Minami (Oguri Yui), a high school senior living in Itoshima City, meets Hatae Ren (Naito Shuichiro), a 26-year-old hairstylist, at a small seaside salon. Instantly captivated by Hatae Ren’s looks, Yoshimura Minami launches an all-out, wholehearted pursuit only to be coolly deflected because of her age. Despite being kept at arm’s length, her unwavering devotion eventually wins him over, and the two finally become a couple. But their happiness is cut short when Minami leaves to study abroad in South Korea and Ren ends the relationship without any explanation.
 
Years later, Yoshimura Minami is confronted by a truth too cruel to bear — a twist of fate so devastating it makes her want to curse the heavens. Burdened by a secret she cannot share, the two still make their choice: a love worth fighting for, no matter how many thorns lie in the way.
