Synopsis

Debussy ga Hikeru Made tells the heartfelt story of Watarai Kiichiro, a man whose life came to a halt after losing his beloved wife, Sayuri, and Sasaki Takumi, a young pianist whose dreams were abruptly crushed. Their worlds collide when the sound of piano and the warmth of whiskey become a bridge between their lonely hearts. Kiichiro, who runs a small, generations-old clock shop in a local shopping street, has spent the past two years in solitude following Sayuri’s passing. One day, he is captivated by the piano music drifting from a nearby restaurant and meets the talented young pianist, Sasaki Takumi, sparking a life-changing connection.

To fulfill his late wife’s wish of hearing Debussy’s Clair de Lune, Watarai Kiichiro begins piano lessons with Takumi Sasaki. Soon, as if watching over him from beyond, letters from his deceased wife, Sayuri, begin to arrive at perfectly timed moments.
