Synopsis

Kudo Mayuko (Takahata Mitsuki) is a high-performing office worker who was headhunted for her previous achievements and now leads new business development at a well established traditional Japanese confectionery company. After her first character merchandise project became a hit, internal expectations for her next product are high, leaving her tormented by invisible daily pressure. As if that wasn’t enough, she suddenly finds herself supervising a subordinate who is 40 years her senior. Her new subordinate, Niimoto Kazuo (Kusakari Masao), had previously worked at the company until retirement and was enjoying his retired life. Living with just his wife and finding himself with too much free time, his enthusiasm for work from his salaryman days gradually began to resurface. When the young company president approached him, he decided to return to work at the company. However, he’s assigned to new business development where his “boss” is a woman younger than his own daughter, leaving him bewildered. A 40-year age gap between boss and subordinate who differ in age, gender, position, and experience. Can this surprising partnership that begins with their shocking encounter grow into the ultimate team?!
