Synopsis

This is a documentary drama based on the “Sarin Gas Attack on the Tokyo Subway” that occurred 30 years ago on March 20, 1995. The incident was a chemical terrorist attack that took place in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, in which the nerve gas sarin was released inside subway cars on the Marunouchi, Hibiya, and Chiyoda lines, killing 14 people and injuring approximately 6,000, and shocking the world as the first incident in which chemical weapons were used on civilians.

Sarin gas was released during rush hour, throwing Tokyo into panic. In stations and hospitals, desperate rescue efforts were underway to save as many lives as possible. Based on original reporting spanning 30 years, the drama depicts what happened at the time and the people who worked so hard to rescue people, even putting their own lives at risk, as a rescue drama that includes some fiction.
