Megumi Saotome is a contract employee in the editorial department at a publishing company. She is invited by her colleagues to join them for a drink get-together, but Megumi Saotome declines their offer. She leaves quickly after work. The reason why she is in such a rush, is so she can have a “solo katsu.” She enjoys solo activities like eating alone at restaurants, having her own party, and staying at love motels.

Continuing from the previous series, Eguchi Noriko plays Satsuki Megumi, who actively pursues activities to enjoy her time alone, or “solo activities.”

Season 3 continues to follow Saotome Megumi as she experiences more solo activities.

This time, we’re going to explore the world of “solo activities” from a fresh perspective, delving into experiences like “Solo Amusement Parks,” “Solo Museums,” and “Solo Bar Hopping,” which we’ve enjoyed in the past. We’ll also dive into new and exciting solo ventures such as the “Solo Korean Town,” riding the wave of the Korean craze, “Solo Bonfires” inspired by digital detox, and even tackle challenges like the “Solo Giant Maze” near a certain hot spring town.

Moreover, we’ll venture into solo activities farther from the city center, beyond places like “Chichibu City in Saitama Prefecture” and “Miyakonojo City in Miyazaki Prefecture,” which we explored in Season 3. Could it be…?! Mayuko Megumi and her cheerful comrades at “Digest Publishing,” who aren’t out to save the world or change anything grandiose but are dedicated solely to the pursuit of solo enjoyment, invite you once again to savor the “small yet undeniable happiness found in solitude.”

Through “solo activities” – actively enjoying time alone – protagonist Megumi Satsuki rediscovers herself. Eguchi continues in the role of Megumi, alongside returning cast members Kobayashi Kinako, Shibuya Kento, and Sasaki Haruka as colleagues at “Digest Publishing” where Megumi works.

Up until now, Satsuki Megumi has celebrated her birthdays quite extravagantly with solo limousine rides, solo helicopter tours, solo cruises, and solo trips to Taiwan. For her latest birthday solo activity, she has chosen Melbourne, Australia. In this food capital, she will savor world-class coffee and wine while immersing herself in nature and experiencing Aboriginal history and culture.

The direct Qantas Airways flight from Narita takes approximately 10 hours, departing at night and arriving the next morning—an efficient journey with only a 1-2 hour time difference. Look forward to Megumi’s solo adventures in the charming historic city of Melbourne!
