Shumaku no Rondo

Kusanagi Tsuyoshi stars as Torigai Itsuki, a bereavement organizer who conveys the unspoken feelings of the deceased to their loved ones through their belongings.
Five years ago, while working tirelessly as a trading company employee, Itsuki lost his wife. Since then, he has become a professional organizer of the deceased’s possessions.
While raising his first-grade son, Riku (Nagase Yahiro), he works alongside his compassionate colleagues at the company “Heaven’s Messenger,” supporting families who have lost their loved ones under various circumstances.
 
One day, Itsuki receives a request from Ayukawa Koharu (Fubuki Jun), who has been told she has only three months to live. A single mother, Koharu is determined to carry out her work until the end without relying on anyone, and to show her daughter what it means to live life to the fullest until the very last moment.
Moved by her resolve, Itsuki devotes himself to fulfilling her wishes. In doing so, he begins to frequently interact with her daughter, Mikuriya Makoto (Nakamura Yuri), a picture book author. As time passes, the two gradually grow closer and develop feelings for each other. However, Makoto is already married—to none other than the heir to Mikuriya Holdings, a powerful corporate conglomerate…..

The side story “Ai to Mousou no Rondo” (Rondo of Love and Delusion) delves into the hidden lives of the staff working at the estate-cleaning company Heaven’s Messenger, as well as the unexpected side of the powerful Mikuriya family, a major corporate group.
 
The first episode of the spin-off drama, “Unmei Lovers” takes place slightly before Episode 1 of the main series. It follows Yahagi Kaito, an employee at Heaven’s Messenger, whose fate begins to change after receiving a tarot reading from part-time worker Kanbe Kiyoka – setting a destined romance in motion.
 
Episode 2, “Shin Mikuriya-ke no Aji”, depicts a peaceful day in the Mikuriya household. Eldest daughter Ayame, and her brother Rihito unexpectedly end up cooking together, joined by their mother Fumiko for what should have been a heartwarming family meal – until an unforeseen mishap turns the gathering upside down.
