Kimichika Kazama (Takuya Kimura) is an instructor at a police academy. He is keenly observant and watches over his students. He is calm as an instructor and has charisma, but strict. Students with various backgrounds attend the police academy with their own reasons of becoming police officers. They feel pressure having to follow the strict rules and have anxiety about getting kicked out of the academy. How many students will graduate among the 90 students? What is the real purpose of Kimichika Kazama giving hardship to the students?
Kimura Takuya takes on the role of Kazama Kimichika, the “most feared” instructor at the police academy and the story’s main character. Known for skillfully portraying a wide range of protagonists, Kimura now embodies the cold, merciless Instructor Kazama Kimichika, whose overwhelming presence leaves his students trembling in fear. Though his ruthless actions—such as handing students withdrawal forms the moment they encounter trouble—may seem heartless, they stem from his belief that the police academy exists to “weed out those who lack the aptitude.”
Before Kazama Kimichika (Kimura Takuya) took up his role as an instructor at the police academy, he supervised the education of rookie detectives. Through a training system called Kazama Dojo, inexperienced young detectives would suddenly be paired with Kazama and taught detective skills through the investigation of actual murder cases. Crime scenes are the classroom in on-the-job training. Kazama sees the truth faster than anyone else. By urging the junior detectives to think for themselves, they arrive at the answers and eventually graduate from Kazama Dojo one by one. It will become clear how Kazama became such a merciless person.
