About Sakamoto Ryuichi

Sakamoto Ryuichi was a notable and highly-awarded Japanese composer, record producer and actor, whose career spans several decades. He influenced and pioneered several electronic music genres, both as a solo artist and as a co-founding member of electronic band Yellow Magic Orchestra (also known as YMO). With co-founders He composed music for many films earning him many awards including an Oscar, a Grammy, two Golden Globes, and a BAFTA.
