Synopsis

Set in the late Edo period, Yuki no Hana tells the story of a town doctor who dedicates his life to fighting smallpox, a deadly epidemic that claimed many lives. Matsuzaka Tori portrays Kasahara Ryosaku who became the first physician to introduce a vaccination for smallpox into Fukui. Yoshine portrays his wife, Chiho, who faithfully supported him throughout.
