Synopsis

Sugamoto, working at a pet shop, promises to marry his lover Aoki, who works at a Japanese restaurant, after Aoki discovers a ring inside a fish while cooking. However, just before their honeymoon, their relationship suddenly comes to an end. Heartbroken, Sugamoto visits Cape Ashizuri, where they were supposed to travel together, and drops the ring into “Hell’s Hole,” one of the Seven Mysteries of Ashizuri.
During her journey, she meets Mochida, the innkeeper, at the lodging where she and Aoki were supposed to stay. He has remained in the town since losing his lover Rin, a photographer, to suicide, still carrying her memory. As Sugamoto and Mochida, both bearing the same pain of loss, exchange words, their frozen time gradually begins to move forward again.
