Synopsis

Kristófer, a restaurant owner in Iceland, receives an early dementia diagnosis around the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. When asked by his doctor about “unfinished business,” he decides to embark on a journey. His mission: to find Miko, whom he met and fell in love with 50 years ago while studying in London. In the midst of their relationship, she had suddenly disappeared, along with her father Takahashi who owned the Japanese restaurant where Kristófer worked. Fighting against his fading memories, Kristófer visits London where Hitomi, who had worked with him at Takahashi’s restaurant, shows him a letter. Following the address in the letter, Kristófer travels to Japan, going through Tokyo and heading to Hiroshima. There, a heartbreaking truth that transcends time is revealed.
