Synopsis

“SINSIN AND THE MOUSE,” a short story in Banana Yoshimoto’s “Mittens and Pity”, and the winner of the 58th Tanizaki Junichiro Award has been adapted into a movie as a co-production between Japan and Taiwan.
 
It follows the journey of a woman named Chizumi, who is grieving the loss of her beloved mother. While traveling in Taiwan, Chizumi meets a man named Sinsin, who has a Taiwanese mother and a Japanese father. Through the unfamiliar cityscape and a series of seemingly ordinary conversations, she gradually begins to heal and rediscover herself amid her grief.
