Synopsis

Set in Tainai City, Niigata, the film portrays a bond that transcends time between a grandmother and granddaughter, each carrying their own unspoken feelings. Following the last wishes of her late grandmother, Tokiko, Riri travels from Tokyo to Tainai City. Inside the home where Tokiko had lived alone for many years after her husband’s passing, Riri discovers 131 letters exchanged between her grandmother and a man who was not her husband. Already hurting from her parents’ troubled marriage, Riri finds herself unsettled by this secret side of the grandmother she adored, yet she begins to trace her footsteps and piece together her memories.
